MEET THE BAND!
Altitude (formerly known as The HeartThrobs) is an Indianapolis-based rock band formed in 2023 at DePauw University. The band is composed of guitarist Luke Grider, bassist Ben Freeman, and drummer Wilson Brummett. Altitude gets its name from their rehearsal space, an airplane hangar, where they regularly meet to make music!
Altitude has established itself as a band capable of delivering high-energy shows for a wide variety of clients and audiences. Our original music is described as "rock-funk-pop". Stream our debut EP, "J1", out now on Spotify and Apple Music!

Luke Grider is the lead guitarist and a lead vocalist. He graduated with a music degree from DePauw in 2025 and founded the band in 2023.
Ben Freeman lays the groove down on the bass guitar and is a lead vocalist. He graduated from DePauw in 2025, where he was actively involved in the campus music scene and creating original electronic music.
Wilson Brummett, our drummer and backing vocalist, is an experienced percussionist with 10 years of experience and graduated from DePauw with a music degree in 2024.
